Size chart

Find the best fitting frame by comparing measurements on a pair of glasses that fit you well with Avulux frame measurements.

Most frames have three (3) numbers on the inside of the frame arm:

Avulux glasses number sizing

These three numbers indicate in millimeters:

  • Lens Width - the lens measured at the widest part of one lens.
  • Bridge Width - measured at the part of the frame that rests on the nose.
  • Temple Length - a measure of the glasses arm that goes behind the ear.

A number that isn't listed on the inside of the frame's temple is the frame width and lens height.

Frame Width

Frame width is not listed as a number on your glasses, but it helps you find the right fit.

A fingertip of space between your face and the frame temple is best. You can measure the frame width (using a ruler or tape measure in millimeters) by measuring from one end of the front of your glasses to the other end.

You may also measure the Frame Width from one temple screw to the other. The screw to screw frame width will better allow you to gauge the space for your face within the frame itself.

These sizes are listed in millimeters on Avulux frame product pages.

Measuring frame width

Lens Height

You can measure the lens height (using a ruler or tape measure in millimeters) by measuring from the top to the bottom of the longest part of the lens.

A frame so light, we named it after a cloud. Weighing only 6 grams - they're four times lighter than most frames.

Easily adjust the nosepads for a comfortable fit. The titanium temples are light on the ears and strong enough to be worn for years.

Light & Pain

Wavelengths of blue, amber, and red light have been clinically shown to increase migraine headache pain intensity.

The research shows a narrow band of green light can be soothing.

Great Product!

I work in an environment with lots of harsh light. I was having 3-4 ocular migraines (with auras) during my workweek. I have been using these glasses everyday during work and I haven't had another migraine since. Can't recommend these enough for light/screen migraine issues.

so far so good!

I have only used them a couple of days but:
1. the glass is clear and image is sharp
2. I find the glasses comfortable to wear all day long: Not bothered with the wavelength-altered image even indoors and not bothered by the glasses on my nose or ears
3. so far, successful at managing my light sensitivity at work

Good, Could Be Great

So the look (no pun intended) of my Cirrus glasses is A+, the feel is A+, and the utility of them as marketed (reduce light strain/fatigue through filtering) is also an A+.

The only real complaint I have is the price weighed against the quality of the frames. Just yesterday I took the glasses off and the little plastic bead on the end of the left-side frame wing just cracked in half and fell off. I had been wearing these glasses on/off for >4 weeks and handling them gently during usage as well as carefully during storage. Still have no clue how a piece literally fell apart/off when setting them on a soft towel before showering.

That said^, Dave from Avulux support assured me he was or had (?) sent me new, improved design pieces to replace the bead on both ends; unfortunately, for the time being this leaves the glasses unusable (short of Dave's suggestion to wrap end in tape or slide silicone over the tip enough to prevent scratching...I found this approach unsuccessful though).

So for product look, feel, and function this is 5-stars but quality led to this 4-star final review. Love the company, still support them, will reorder (likely) in future as needed, but since I expected no issues for the price and had one in the first month I wanted to be honest here. Hope everyone else has no issues, gets newer design beads/ends, and things only get better including frame quality. The mission and purpose of these glasses is critical and most importantly, I know they work.

No more migraines!

Since I started trying to work full time doing computer-based work, I’ve been getting 1-2 migraines with aura and light sensitivity per week, which took hours out of my productive time each week. I did my research on all the available migraine glasses, and Avulux was a clear winner. Since wearing the Cirrus glasses at work, and while watching tv or my phone, I have not had a single migraine! The Cirrus glasses are ridiculously light, so they don’t hurt my nose to wear for long periods of time. The glasses are expensive, but because they allowed me more working time each week, they’ll pay themselves off in like 2 weeks! I highly recommend them for anyone with migraines triggered by light/screen time. I never expected a single product to make such a clear difference. It’s a game changer.

so helpful for daily use!!

I have been using my glasses almost every day for a few months now and they’ve changed my life. I get both migraine attacks and I have a baseline migraine that’s just always there no matter what I do, so these help prevent attacks and provide relief against the baseline. At first I was insecure wearing them indoors since they’re more tinted than I thought, but honestly no one has ever questioned me about them. I wear them when I go to school, go shopping, watch a movie, work on my laptop, and go to concerts which has been a literal lifesaver. Obviously there’s only so much they can do, but on BAD days I mix these with ear mufflers (head compression + blocks out loud noises) and the cefaly tens unit and it’s cut down the need for ibuprofen or fioricet which I’m grateful for. These are tailored for indoor use, for outdoor use you’d want glasses with more tint (aka regular sunglasses). That’s pretty much it, the structure of the glasses are a little flimsier than I expected them to be.
